G/R: ECG to cut power in parts of Accra West on February 11 for planned maintenance

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a planned maintenance exercise that will result in a temporary power outage in parts of the Accra West Region.

In a notice, ECG indicated that the scheduled maintenance is aimed at improving service delivery and ensuring a more reliable power supply to customers.

The exercise is expected to take place on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

 

ECG said the planned works will affect several communities, including: Fadama, Kwashieman, NyameKye, Darkuman, Abeka, Lapaz, Tabora, Race Course, Kwashiebu, Chantan, Hansonic.

The others are Dansoman Junction, Mallam Junction, McCarthy, Choice, Sampa Valley, Alogboshie, Achimota Neoplan, Benjilo, Manhean, Oduman, and surrounding areas.

The power distributor apologised for the inconvenience the maintenance exercise may cause.
