Your passing has left a gaping hole in my life and family as well. I still can’t believe my good friend is no more. Words can’t describe how I felt when I heard of your death; it broke me into pieces because you were more than a sister to me. Let me take a moment to celebrate the incredible impact you had on me and my family, especially on my children. Your love and connection with them was truly special; you made them your own, and I will always be grateful for the time you spent with them.

Your kindness, love and generosity inspired my kids in ways that I could never have imagined. You had a gift for making them your own, and they adored you for it. From the phone calls to check on them; to the gifts you got them, you were more than an aunt to them — you were a mother, and a friend.
Because of the deep connection you shared with my children, it’s been impossible for me to find the right words to tell them about your passing. I know they would be devastated to hear that their beloved aunt is no longer with us, and I want to protect them from that pain for as long as I can.

But I want you to know, my dear sister Lizzy, we love you and will always love you even in death.
Your legacy still lives on through the countless memories we shared with you. Your love, your laughter, and your light will continue to inspire myself and my children as they grow and navigate the world. And when the time is right, I will tell them about the incredible aunt they had, who loved them with every fibre of her being.

Rest in peace, my dear sister, Lizzy Suuri. Your love and memory will never be forgotten.
