Kevin-Prince Boateng has expressed his regret how his stint with Black Stars ended.
The former AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspurs attacker was sacked from the Black Stars camp during the 2014 World Cup following a bust up between him and coach Kwasi Appiah.
Speaking in an interview monitored by DLFM, the Herta Berlin midfielder said he was sorry how his international career came to an end because he believed the Black Stars had a good team and they could have achieved great things together.
According to the 35-year-old, circumstances beyond his control forced him out and made him retire prematurely.
“There were some reasons that didn’t work out how we wanted. There were some misunderstandings, I feel sorry it ended like this because after 2010 we could have built something very good because we had a great team,” he said.
He added that despite the disgraceful ending of his Black Stars career, he will always support them.
“I wish the Black Stars nothing but the best and I will always be a fan,” he told Oma Sports TV.
