Ghanaian artiste manager Frank Agyekum has dubbed legendary Ghanaian musician Daddy Lumba as a God.
Agyekum managed Daddy Lumba from the year 2006 to 2007, and was instrumental in the rebranding from Daddy Lumba to D.L.
Speaking to Nana Adjoa Silky on the DL Hour Show on DLFM, Agyekum said Lumba is a God because there was absolutely nothing that he had said that never came true. According to him, the 58-year-old is more than a prophet and should be revered.
“Daddy Lumba is a God. Everyday I ask myself if this man is a spirit or prophet because everything he says comes to pass. Lumba once advised to put some things to order but I disobeyed him. To my surprise, just like a prophet, all that he told me happened right under my nose.
“Just play all the songs he made from the beginning of his career, you will noticed Daddy Lumba is a prophet” he said.
Frank Agyekum also quashed longstanding rumours that Daddy Lumba is difficult to work with. According to him, when he worked with Lumba in the mid 2000s, he was one of the most understanding clients he had. He said whenever he proposed an idea to the legend, he whole-heartedly agreed to do it.
Agyekum, who is the CEO of Blaq Standard Management, has managed several top artistes in the country, including Ofori Amponsah, Obrafour, Nana Quame and Guru.
