The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has destooled Nana Kwame Owusu Agyeman, chief of Antoa, a town in the Ashanti Region.
He was destooled by the Asantehene on his first sitting yesterday, May 29, after his trip to the United Kingdom.
The Antoa chief, who has been ruling for over 20 years, is accused of violating customary procedures by instating his nephew to take over from him while he lives.
He is also accused of multiple sale of lands.
Antoa is one of the most popular Asante towns. It is particularly known for its river deity, Antoa Anyaman Bosom.
